This chair and ottoman comes from our friends at Modern Times Chicago and is $7,500.
The pieces of wood are very visually interesting, were clearly picked and finished by a professional woodworker, and look at that comfy sheep skin! I have sat in one of these chairs, and they are surprisingly comfy. This sort of thing is worth the price.

There is the link where you can purchase this charming ironwood log side table / stool for $1,490 from JRM San Francisco.
Now, don't get me wrong. I love me some ironwood. It's a beautiful, deep, hard wood. I love ironwood bead necklaces, I love the carved ironwood seashell that a friend found at a flea market for $15, but this is a log. I don't even have a problem with anyone using a log as a seat or as a side table. But if you're going to do that-go out to the freakin' wood pile and grab a log.
Now that stupid log is not to be confused with real woodworking.
